Israeli soldiers abducted, on Wednesday at dawn, eighteen Palestinians, including one woman, in several parts of the occupied West Bank; most of the abducted residents were taken prisoner from occupied Jerusalem, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has confirmed.

The PPS stated that the soldiers abducted 14 Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem, and added that most of them were taken prisoner from the al-‘Isawiya town, after the soldiers stormed and violently searched many homes.

It said the soldiers abducted Mohammad Walid Obeid, Mohammad Marwan Obeid, Mahmoud Shafiq Obeid, Ahmad Ayesh Obeid, Yazan Ibrahim Obeid, Mo’tasem Hamza Obeid, Mohammad Ghadeb Obeid, Mohammad Mousa Dirbas, Wadea’ Daoud Oleyyan, in addition Omran al-Ashhab who works in the maintenance and reconstruction department at Al-Aqsa Mosque, and Zeinat Abu Sbeih, the head of the women’s branch of civilian security at the holy site.

The soldiers also invaded the al-Ram town and Qalandia refugee camp, north of Jerusalem, searched homes and abducted Shadi Abu Gharbiyya, Omar Yasser Hamadna, and Riyad Shehada, the son of Ahmad Riyad Shehada, who was killed by the army on May 6th, 2016.

In Jenin, in northern West Bank, the soldiers abducted Yousef Ali As’ous from his home in Mothallath ash-Shuhada village, south of the city.

In Faqqou’a village, east of Jenin, the soldiers caused many Palestinians to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation, after the army invaded it, and attacked residents who protested the invasion.

In Tulkarem, also in northern West Bank, the soldiers abducted a former political prisoner, identified as Mousa Salah al-A’raj, 30.

In Tubas, in northeastern West Bank, the soldiers abducted Mohammad Ayman Shareeda, 28, from his home.
